It’s been more than a year since the pandemic hit us. Due to the pandemic, we all were stuck in our homes. The world was forced to move digital. For students and employees alike, most of the traditional methods were converted online. Students had no classes due to the lockdown in the beginning for a few months. Many of these students wasted their time by doing nothing productive in the free time they had. On the other side, there were some who added new skills to their list, started a blog, some even started online business considering the whole world was online. One particular thing to be noticed was that the number of students who took online courses rose drastically. From digital marketing to project management courses, students took upon different types of courses to increase their knowledge.

Unfortunately, we are in the same situation even after a year. Students again have free time. This time is like a second chance to be productive and hone your skills.  For students who didn’t take up any courses last year, this might be the best time for you to not repeat the same mistake. Take the control of your time into your hands. Instead of scrolling through social media for hours, spare some of those for the skills that you want. If you are still stuck procrastinating, we suggest you start now. The best and most effective way you can absorb a course is through scheduling. If you want to learn programming, you have to devote at least 2 to 3 hours a day regularly to be able to learn what you really want. It’s the same for any other courses you take. Consistency is of utmost importance to develop and hone a skill.

It’s never been so easy to learn something. With thousands of tools and resources available for you, all you need to do is keep aside some time regularly for this. Many platforms such as Simplilearn offer paid as well as free courses. You can even access their courses through their mobile app. On top of that, they offer certificate courses, Master’s programs, and Post Graduate programs in various subjects. If you are interested in learning tech stuff like blockchain, AI, data science then this is the place for you. They have AI and machine learning courses, offering skills that are in very high demand in the industry right now, available in both free and paid courses. You can complete the course and get a certificate. This certificate will help you in the long run if you are interested in an AI-related career. Not just tech but Simplilearn also offers courses on Digital Marketing, IT service & Architecture, Quality Management, and even Business & Leadership. You can start these courses and complete them at your own pace. After completing the course, however, don’t forget to keep practicing those skills and try to apply your skills to problems and solve them.

Just start!
