Getting ready for exams? Use these top study strategies to give yourself the best chance possible for jee mains, and try not to allow the pressure to get to you. Holding sense that you can do this.

  • Find a study location

Finding a revision space is crucial for maintaining focus for jee mains. Make sure you locate a cozy space with a sizable table so you can spread out all of your books. Look for a location that is comfortable, has sufficient lighting, and won’t cause any disruptions. Make sure your family and/or friends are aware that you should not be interrupted while you are studying.

  • Plan ahead

Don’t sit down with the total of all the subjects you need to study for with the intention of “revising,” as you will put it off and become overwhelmed. Plan beforehand. When planning your time in order to revise your syllabus for jee mains, think about which examinations you have coming up and which require the most preparation. Create a realistic timetable with regular breaks. You run the risk of using up seven of your eight hours of biology study to get ready for it. Set 15-minute breaks every hour for yourself to go for a walk, make a drink, respond to a text, or check your emails. Back to it after that!

  • Maintain blood flow

Long periods of sitting at a desk will result in blood pooling in the bottom half of your body and less oxygen reaching your brain, which can aid with concentration. Make sure you get up and move around frequently to increase blood flow and sharpen your focus.

  • Don’t be distracted

Put your phone out of sight if you know your friend will finish an exam before you do today at 3 o’clock so you won’t be interrupted by a call, text, or email from them. Make sure your emails are not configured to alert you, your phone is on quiet, and your browser is closed. Don’t give yourself more excuses to get distracted. It will make your brain tired which will result in poor performance in JEE mains.

  • Embrace downtime

Allowing time for rest and relaxation is equally crucial to maintaining focus. Don’t try to leave an exam at 4 p.m. and return to study right away if you have another exam at 9 a.m. the following day. It won’t be possible for you. Allow yourself an hour or two to complete other tasks. You can let your mind wander with a quick game of football or a trip to the community pool so that it can focus again later.

  • Learn to ignore things.

It is simple to create excuses to be distracted when you know you have to sit still and focus on one subject for a prolonged amount of time. Be mindful of all the sounds or distractions you might encounter as you enter the jee mains exam room or settle down to study, and practice turning a blind eye. You won’t need to react if you have a younger sibling who gets home at 4:30 p.m. since you know the door will slam or the TV will turn on.
